About Embracing Life As Women (ELAW)
Embracing Life As Women (ELAW) highlights the difficulties and triumphs of women of childbearing age (14-44) who are struggling with, or have struggled with, substance use and/or mental health challenges, and society's stigma of these very real and common issues. ELAW focuses on reducing harms, introducing supports, and highlighting best practices for these women. ELAW is open to anyone supportive of these goals, and all genders. CARE Coalition is a local nonprofit organization focused on providing connections to resources, bringing awareness through education, and prevention efforts that respond to the growing number of pregnant women and women of childbearing ages affected by alcohol or drug use.
