Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we don’t, and the choices you have.
Effective October 22, 2026
CARE Coalition is a nonprofit substance-misuse prevention coalition serving Clark County, Nevada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to send us, such as a contact message or a membership application.
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or tracking pixels.
- Donations are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we never will.
- Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use a form on our site, we receive what you enter:
- Contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, organization, subject and message.
- Membership application: your organization’s name, your name and title, email, phone, city, ZIP code, website, the community sectors your organization serves, the services it provides, and why you would like to join.
- Email and phone: anything you send us directly.
Donations. Gifts are made on a secure payment page hosted by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects your payment details and processes the payment under its own privacy policy. Stripe shares with us the information we need to record and acknowledge your gift, such as your name, email address, the amount and the date. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like every website, our hosting servers receive standard technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. It is used to deliver the site and keep it secure, and it is not used to identify or profile visitors.
Cookies and tracking
Our website does not use cookies. We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, social-media tracking pixels or any other technology that follows you across websites or over time, and we do not allow third parties to do so through our site. Because we do not track you, there is nothing for a browser “Do Not Track” signal to turn off; we honor it by default.
Third-party services on our pages
A few pages load content from other companies. When they do, your browser connects to that company, which receives your IP address and basic browser information under its own privacy policy:
- Apple Maps shows our location on the Contact page (Apple privacy policy).
- Google Fonts supplies the typeface used on our site (Google privacy policy).
- Stripe handles donations, as described above.
Our site also links to other websites, including YouTube videos, partner organizations and social-media pages. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and respond to requests.
- To review membership applications and keep in touch with coalition members about meetings, trainings and events.
- To process, record and acknowledge donations, including tax receipts.
- To report on our work to the public agencies and funders who support it. These reports use totals and summaries, not your personal details.
- To keep our website secure and meet our legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who run our website, forms and payments on our behalf, such as our website platform and its hosting provider, and Stripe. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
- When the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the safety of any person.
- With your permission. For example, if you are approved as a coalition member, your organization’s name, logo, website and description may appear in our public member directory.
Children and young people
Our website is meant for adults and organizations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We do not track minors of any age. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. Young people who take part in our programs, such as the Youth Summit, register through their school, organization or a parent or guardian.
How long we keep information
We keep messages and applications only as long as we need them to respond, to maintain coalition membership records, or to meet legal, accounting and grant-reporting requirements. Donation records are kept as long as the law requires for nonprofit financial records.
How we protect information
Our website is served only over encrypted connections, form submissions are stored with access limited to authorized CARE Coalition staff, and payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to the payment-card industry’s highest security standard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You may also ask to stop receiving emails from us. Email info@carecoalitionnv.org or call 702-463-1415, and we will respond within 30 days.
Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law (NRS 603A). If you would still like to submit a request to opt out of any future sale, email us at the address above.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will note it on our home page.
