These terms apply to your use of the CARE Coalition website. CARE Coalition is a nonprofit substance-misuse prevention coalition serving Clark County, Nevada. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information, not medical advice

Our Substance Guide, blog, training materials and other content are for general education and prevention. They are not medical, legal or mental-health advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Information about substances changes, and while we work to keep it accurate, we cannot guarantee that every page is complete or current.

In an emergency, call 911. For mental-health or substance-use crisis support, call or text 988, free and confidential, 24 hours a day. Our website and contact form are not monitored around the clock.

Using our content

The text, images, videos, logos and documents on this site belong to CARE Coalition or to the people and organizations who allowed us to use them. You are welcome to share our public service announcements, flyers, reports and prevention materials for non-commercial, educational purposes, as long as you credit CARE Coalition and do not change them. For any other use, please ask us first.

The CARE Coalition name and logo may not be used to suggest that we endorse a person, product or organization without our written permission.

Things you send us

When you send us a message, a membership application or other information, you confirm that it is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Please do not send sensitive personal health information through our forms. How we handle what you send is described in our Privacy Policy.

Membership

Coalition membership is free and open to organizations and individuals working toward a healthier Clark County. CARE Coalition reviews every application and may decline or end a membership at its discretion, for example if a member’s activities conflict with the coalition’s mission. Member listings in our directory are provided by members, and a listing is not an endorsement of a member’s services.

Donations

Donations are processed by Stripe on a secure page hosted by Stripe, and Stripe’s own terms apply to the payment. Contributions to CARE Coalition are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; please consult your tax advisor. Donations are generally final. If you believe a gift was made in error, contact us within 30 days and we will work with you to resolve it.

Events and trainings

Event dates, times and locations can change. Please check the event page or contact us before you attend. You take part in events and trainings at your own risk and are responsible for following the instructions of event staff. Training certificates show that a course was completed. They are not a professional license or certification to practice.

Acceptable use

Please do not use our site to break the law, send spam, impersonate others, upload anything harmful, attempt to access parts of the site that are not public, or interfere with the site’s operation. We may block access for anyone who does.

Links to other websites

We link to partner organizations, government agencies, videos and other resources we think are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

No warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, CARE Coalition makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CARE Coalition, its board, staff, volunteers and funders are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Nevada law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
