I was born and raised in the Seattle area. I went to college at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. I graduated with a degree in International Business and Economics with German Language in 1991. I moved back to Seattle and began working for Federated Department Stores, now known as Macy’s Inc, for 15 years. My last role with Macy’s was Manager of Associate Learning & Development. Then I went to work as a Regional Learning Specialist for Luxottica Retail (Lens Crafters, Pearle Vision, Target Optical, Sunglass Hut, etc.) and was relocated from Seattle to Las Vegas in 2008. In 2012, I went to work for the Mirage Hotel Casino as a Sr. Learning Specialist where I focused on Leadership Development. Next in 2014, I moved to Cartier and a Learning and Development Coach. My most recent role was with Boyd Gaming as a Learning Manager from 2017 until the pandemic hit in 2020.
My passion is helping people grow and development in their chosen areas. I enjoy coaching and am currently doing some pro bono coaching work with clients in the area of career development. I also work with my local Mount Union Alumni group here in Las Vegas as well as sitting on the Alumni Council in Alliance, OH. I also am working with the Las Vegas LGBTQ+ Center as a volunteer for the 2021 Honorarium Gala on October 1.
I’ve been married to my husband, Mark for the past 23 years and we live in Mountain’s Edge with our fur child, Remington-the-Cat.
